Routinsie was designed to integrate with all other major calendar platforms, unlike many other apps this was a must for us.

How to fix ‘busy message’ from google calendar for personal calendars you’re trying to import:

Original Calendar Privacy Settings:

Access the original calendar: Go to the source calendar where you copied the iCal link and check the privacy settings for individual events. 

Event Visibility: Ensure that the events you want to appear in Google Calendar are set to “Public” or “See all event details” on the original calendar. 

Google Calendar Settings:

Calendar Visibility: Go to your Google Calendar settings and check if the imported calendar is set to “See all event details” or “See only free/busy (hide details)”. 

Sync Issues: Sometimes, a temporary sync issue can cause discrepancies. Try refreshing your Google Calendar to see if the status updates. 

How to fix:

Adjust Privacy Settings:

If the original calendar has events set to “Private” or “See only free/busy,” adjust the privacy settings to make them visible on Google Calendar.

[For business calendars]:

Login to Google Admin console: Access the admin console using your administrator credentials. 

Navigate to Calendar settings: Go to “Apps” > “Google Workspace” > “Calendar”. 

Access Sharing settings: Under “Calendar” settings, select “Sharing settings”. 

Manage sharing options: Adjust the settings for how users can share their calendars, including who they can share with (inside or outside the organization) and what level of access they can grant.

Can I change the color of the events from beige for imported events?

Sadly at this time (no). Since customers like to change their theme everyday, and don’t have colors that match other calendars [ew] hehe - we wouldn’t be able at this point to control how imported events come in, which is why we went with our neutral theme so it was the least ‘offensive’.
